# Notification Center

## Notification Center

Notification Center is where users see alerts, reminders, announcements, and workflow updates. Use it when users need to know something happened but do not need a full conversation thread.

### Good notifications

A useful notification says what happened, which record it concerns, and what the user should do next.

Examples:

* Purchase request Laptop replacement is waiting for your review.
* Timecard for June 28 was returned for changes.
* Inventory count exception was assigned to your queue.
* Refund request was approved by Finance.

### Setup steps

1. Add Notification Center.
2. Connect workflow messages to the notification destination.
3. Choose recipients by role, team, owner, requester, reviewer, or selected user field.
4. Write messages in user language.
5. Include a link or route back to the work.
6. Preview as the recipient.
7. Trigger a test route and confirm the notification appears.

### Verification

Notification Center is ready when the intended user receives the right message, can understand it, can open the related item, and does not receive duplicate or irrelevant messages.
