Workflow Status

Workflow Status shows where a process stands. It is useful for requesters, managers, and makers who need a visible timeline or current state.

When to use it

Use Workflow Status when users ask:

  • Was my request submitted?

  • Who has it now?

  • Is it waiting, approved, rejected, or blocked?

  • Did the message send?

  • Did the external handoff complete?

  • What happened most recently?

Setup steps

  1. Add Workflow Status.

  2. Choose the workflow or record scope.

  3. Choose which roles can see it.

  4. Show human-readable status labels.

  5. Include important events such as submitted, routed, message sent, reviewed, approved, rejected, failed, repaired, and completed.

  6. Preview as requester and manager.

  7. Run a test route and confirm status changes as actions happen.

Verification

Workflow Status is ready when a requester can understand what happened without asking the maker to inspect workflow runs.
