## Capabilities, Plans, and Permissions Matrix

Use this matrix before handing an automation app to a customer.

| Capability        | Maker needs               | User needs                                    | Verification                       |
| ----------------- | ------------------------- | --------------------------------------------- | ---------------------------------- |
| Create workflow   | Automation builder access | None                                          | Maker can save setup.              |
| Start workflow    | Configured trigger        | Access to source screen and button            | User can click Submit or launcher. |
| Review approval   | Decision configuration    | Access to Decision and source record          | Reviewer can decide.               |
| Work from queue   | Work Queue configuration  | Access to Work Queue and source record        | Team can claim or complete work.   |
| Receive messages  | Messaging route           | Access to Notification Center or Conversation | Recipient sees message.            |

### Plan and entitlement check

Before building, confirm the account has the automation, messaging, approval management, and workflow screen features needed by the app. If a feature is unavailable, the docs should point the maker to the plan or entitlement message shown in the product.
