## Automation: How do I create an approval workflow?

The fastest path is to use the Approval workflow wizard and connect it to the real submit action users will click.

### Steps

1. Make sure the request page has the fields a reviewer needs.
2. Add or confirm a Submit action.
3. Open Automation.
4. Choose Approval workflow.
5. Set When this happens to the real Submit action.
6. Choose the reviewer rule.
7. Choose Decision as the reviewer destination.
8. Add Workflow Status for requester progress.
9. Write reviewer and requester messages.
10. Validate.
11. Create a test request.
12. Preview as requester and reviewer.
