# Settings → Data

Pane for app-level data switches. The sync manual is Reload and sync. This page does not become a second sync book.

## What this is / when to use it

Data settings are the few toggles that apply to the whole app: whether end users may refresh, default auto-sync participation, and **Sync Health**.

## Before you start

Databases are already linked.

## Build it

1. Open Settings → Data.
2. Read **Sync Health**: overall status, connected databases, current issues, and recent syncs.
3. Use **Sync Now** or **Retry** on a database row if a refresh is needed. Retry asks for confirmation.
4. Use **Create ticket** when an issue needs help. The ticket is prefilled with the app, database, and health state.
5. Confirm the linked database list (or jump to Databases).
6. Set any app-wide refresh / cache switches the pane shows.

## Every control

| Control               | What it does                                                                    |
| --------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Sync Health           | App and database status, recent runs, Sync Now / Retry / ticket.                |
| Sync Now              | Same builder Sync / Reload as Databases.                                        |
| Retry                 | Same reload, after a confirmation. Use when the row needs attention.            |
| View details          | Human message and suggested action. No stack, no tokens.                        |
| Create ticket         | Prefills a support ticket with the app, database, and health state.             |
| Linked databases list | Shortcut to Manage linked databases.                                            |
| App-wide refresh      | Default for end-user reload when screens inherit it.                            |
| Cache / offline notes | PWA may cache chrome; row freshness still follows sync. See Add To Home Screen. |

Health captions match Reload and sync: **Up to date**, **Partial**, **Held**, **Waiting**, **Access blocked**, plus **Throttled** when Notion asked us to wait.

## What users see

Only what you enabled (a reload button, fresher rows). They do not see this pane.

## Limits and plans

Meters: databases, pages, properties, blocks, file uploads, two-way sync frequency. Plans.

Pause / Resume is not a maker control.

## Example

Turn on app-wide “allow reload” so every list can show a refresh control, then disable it on a public catalogue screen.
